Marcus Freeman Memorial Scholarship

Marcus Freeman
October 23 1994 - March 15, 2011

"In the end, it's the extra effort that separates a winner from second place. But winning takes a lot more than that, too. It starts with complete command of the fundamentals. The it takes desire, determination, discipline, and self-sacrifice. And finally, it takes a great deal of love, fairness and respect for your fellow sport. Put all of these together, and even if you don't win, how can you lose?"

NPYB has always been about supporting the youth of our community. We realize that this doesn't stop with high school. We provide college scholarships up to $500 each year to 3 high school seniors. To be considered for a scholarship through NPYB candidates must provide an essay detailing what NPYB has done for them and what they have done for NPYB. These essays are reviewed by non board members with the names omitted. Once the panel has selected the final three, those individuals will be notified as to when they will receive their scholarship. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship please forward your essays to a NPYB biarxd memeber or email them to . The deadline to forward your essay is April 30 of the corresponding school year.

Our annual Board of Directors meeting is coming up in soon and we are going to have a few board positions open. If you are interested, or have questions email us at npyb@npyb.org  .
