Q. Is NPYB a Co -ED league?
A. Yes 

Q. What nights are practices?

A. We practice one night a week. Since we use volunteer coaches, each coach will pick one-night Monday through Friday to practice with their team, sometime between 6pm and 9pm. Depending on the coach your child gets drafted to, that will determine the one night of practice. The practices are held at Heron Creek Middle School .

Q. 
When and where are the games?
A. The games are on Saturdays at North Port high School, starting at 8:30am for the younger groups through 3:30 for the older groups.

Q. Is there a travel ball system associated with NPYB?
A. Yes, we partner with multiple programs in the area who have dedicated girls travel and dedicated boys travel. Email your request to npyb@npyb.org for a recommendation.

Q. What seasons does NPYB run?
A. Summer season is typically June and July, and Winter Season is typically January through March

About Us

North Port Youth Basketball, Inc. was established in 2006. This organization was developed in 2006, striving to become a leading not for profit organization in North Port, Florida. Initially it all began with approximately 200 children our first season and have reached our maximum capacity of approximately 300 children for the last several seasons. Many of our kids rotating between winter and summer ball, while others prefer one or another allowing them to play other sports or activities. **MORE GYM SPACE IS NEEDED TO ACCOMMODATE THESE

NPYB was established to promote and provide a positive environment where recreational basketball skills are taught for the children residing in North Port area. The organization as a whole believes it is necessary to encourage positive sportsmanship, develop good playing skills and promote friendly competitive relationships among the participants, coaches and parents.

NPYB, inc. is open to all boys and girls, ages 5 through 17, living in the our area. Within the league, the following Divisions have been established:

Coed 5-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-17

Our annual Board of Directors meeting is coming up in October and we are going to have a few board positions open. If you are interested, or have questions please see one of the board members or email us at npyb@npyb.org
